Charles (“Charlie”) Barrow is admitted to practice law in all Georgia State and Superior Courts, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Georgia Supreme Court, and the Federal District Court for the Middle District of Georgia.  He is an active member of The Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Charlie graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia with degrees in both History and English.  He then attended Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law where he was awarded the Julius R. Lunsford academic scholarship in the study of law.

Having handled hundreds of felony and misdemeanor cases, Charlie has extensive experience in representing individuals accused of violating state and federal law. His experience also includes the appellate process, where he represents those who have been convicted at trial. He has argued before the Georgia Supreme Court and written numerous appeals to the Georgia Court of Appeals.

Charlie also serves as the conflict defender for the Alcovy Judicial Circuit (Walton and Newton Counties) where he represents indigent defendants that the public defender’s office cannot represent due to conflicts of interest.

He is also a contract appellate attorney for the Georgia Public Defender Standards Council (“GPDSC”) and, in this capacity, handles criminal appeals throughout the state.

In addition to his criminal practice, Charlie currently serves as the Assistant Solicitor in the Walton County Probate Court where he prosecutes misdemeanor offenses.
